The absence of an increase in the interest young population to enter agricultural sector has impact on amount food production each year. This happens because people think that farming profession is not promising for survival. One developments can attract by utilizing technology such as smart farming. paper proposes initial modeling before implementing analyzing characteristics object be planted. purpose this optimize plant growth and development potential according surrounding environment. plants analyzed included eggplant, cherry tomatoes, guava, citrus, cucumbers. parameters studied were temperature soil moisture plants. test results found tomatoes cucumbers are suitable if planted Surabaya city environment they require low temperatures a condition growing. Meanwhile, citrus plants, placed place exposed direct sunlight, will cause decrease, so do grow optimally.
